Kamen Rider Imperer, one of the 13 Kamen Riders in the tokusatsu TV series Kamen Rider Ryuki and is the first Rider to use a drill for a weapon. Imperer is one of three riders in the series who has their Visor attached to their suit, the other two being Gai whose Visor is on his shoulder, and Verde whose Visor is mounted on his thigh. Like other Mirror Riders, he died an ironic death: He actually achieved his wish of becoming happy and had no more need of the Rider War to keep it, but he was forced to fight either way and eventually died. Mitsuru Sano

Mitsuru Sano is Kamen Rider Imperer, although Mitsuru came from an affluent family, he worked in a parking garage, occasionally cleaning rich people's cars. His father sent him out into the world so that he could learn the hardships of life and not be spoiled by a rich upbringing.

One of the Riders who fight in the Kamen Rider Trial of the World of Ryuki, Imperer uses the power of his Contract Monsters Gigazelle as well as the other Zelle Mirror Monsters: Megazelle, Omegazelle, Negazelle, and Magazelle. He is removed from the trial by Decade.

Kamen Rider Ryuki Special : 13 Riders

In the 13 Riders special (alternate retelling), Sano was only seen as Imperer at the final battle with Kamen Rider Tiger as tag-team partners. In one ending, he and the remaining fighters used their Final Vents on Shinji (as Kamen Rider Knight Survive).

OOO, Den-O, All Riders : Let's Go Kamen Riders

Kamen Rider Imperer was part of a group of reinforcement riders led by Akira Date/Kamen Rider Birth to aid the primary riders in defeating the Rock Great Leader. All the Kamen Riders got on their bikes and performed the All Rider Break attack which destroyed the Great Leader.

Imperer's unique among the other Riders because unlike the rest of them, his color scheme's inconsistent with his respective monster. Being melee-based with Muay Thai-style attacks, Imperer doesn't have much fighting experience, using the Gazelle Visor on his right knee to use his Spin Vent card which gives him a double-drill Gazelle Stab gauntlet.
Aside from his Spin Vent, Imperer relies on his mass amount of Zelles to do the fighting for him, after which he lands the final blow. His Final Vent Drive Divider has the Zelles stampede a target before Imperer unleashes a powerful knee strike to the enemy's head.
However, Imperer's numbers strategy can be disrupted, forcing Imperer to fight Riders by himself. Another weakness is that the accompanied Contract Monsters are not really Imperer's, since they just follow Gigazelle, and often prove themselves to be inconsistent, either helping or attacking Imperer
