Kouji Segawa
Kouji Segawa, An environmentalist reporter who is killed by the Fog Mother's child, Agito, when they take Kana. He is revived as Kamen Rider J by the Earth Spirits to defend the planet from the Fog Mother and her children. With his J-Spirit transformation belt, J can perform the J-Kick. His greatest ability is to assume the Jumbo Formation by gathering the life force from surrounding life forms, growing to 40 metres tall to fight larger opponents.
In this state, J can perform the Jumbo Rider Kick. He rides a J-Crosser, a Suzuki road bike which can reach a speed of 810 mph per hour. J can use the J-Crosser to execute the J-Strike attack. Early designs by Shotaro Ishinomori gave Kamen Rider J a pair of wing-like appendages on his back to indicate the origin of the character's powers. Assuming his Rider form, J fights Garai in his true form, Cobra Man, in a heated battle. After killing Garai, J is almost digested by Fog Mother as he attempts to save Kana. However, by absorbing the life energy around him, J kills off Fog's newly born spawn as he escapes the bowels of Fog Mother and assumes Jumbo Formation. After ripping Kana out of Fog Mother, J battles the monster before killing her as she attempted to take him down with her.

- By harnessing the lifeforce from the surrounding life forms, Kamen Rider J can grow into a giant size at 40 meters tall to fight against larger opponents. In this form, Kamen Rider J has the ability to execute the Jumbo Rider Kick. This form`s exact power is unknown, but is presumably comparable with even Ultraman as he knocked a creature as heavy as Mother Fog away and withstood a beam that was hinted to have made the dinosaurs extinct without being too seriously injured.

- J-Crosser : J's Rider Machine is the J-Crosser, a 1994 Suzuki DR650SE on-road bike that changes into a heroic form along with J. It has the ability to reach speeds up to 1300 km/h and J can use the J-Crosser to execute the J-Strike attack.
