By swiping a Rider Pass across the SetTouch, Kamen Rider Den-O is able to pass through four forms, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Each of the forms (excluding Plat Form, Climax Form, and Liner Form) is based on a specific mythological hero along with motifs relating to the respective legends. However, when Ryotaro (post-series) and the Imagin use the Rider Pass, they bypass the Plat Form to assume their respective Den-O Form.
Ryotaro Nogami
A shy and rather timid man, Ryotaro was originally very weak willed. His weak will made him only be able to use Plat Form at first. Even though Ryotaro was weak willed, he was kind and friendly from the start as he helped others as Den-O as well as saved Kintaros from disappearing. He is also quite honest as he was very displeased at Momotaros when he tried stealing money. It was also shown in the same episode that he is very stubborn as he refused help from Momotaros until he apologized, despite nearly dying in the situation for his lack of power.

DenLiner
Kamen Rider Den-O fights against the Imagin with the aid of his partners. Most of them reside within the train known as the DenLiner, a train that traverses the sands of time:
DenLiner Crew:
- Ryotaro Nogami : Is a very unlucky young man. When he first appears, he managed to lodge himself on his bike in a tall tree, due to his horrific streak of bad luck. But though jinxed, Ryotaro keeps looking on the bright side. He also keeps his name tag in his wallet so it can be returned to him when it is stolen.
- Hana / Kohana : Is a Singularity Point and the first DenLiner passenger Ryotaro met, convincing him to become a Kamen Rider while explaining the uses of the Rider Tickets and the Rider Pass. She said that she fights so that she can protect and preserve the flow of time from the Imagin, and she made a contract with the DenLiner's Owner to do so.
- Naomi : Is the waitress of the DenLiner's dining car, the setting of nearly all of the action aboard the Den Liner. Despite her efforts, she usually serves poorly made coffee (she once put wasabi in the coffee as an experiment), though the Imagin cannot resist it. She is extremely hyper and does not get surprised easily, sticking to her belief of making only coffee.
- Owner : Of the DenLiner is Hana's serious yet eccentric contractor, with a habit of speaking in complex riddles when it comes to the nature of time. He states that only those with a "Pass" are able to ride the DenLiner and, with it, transcend time itself. Also, as the DenLiner's owner, he cannot stand fighting in his train and any who would dare alter the flow of time.
- Momotaros : Is the hot-headed Imagin that first possesses Ryotaro without knowing that he is a Singularity Point. He decides that it is more fun to fight other Imagin rather than grant a wish such that he can destroy history to his liking.
- Urataros : Is the smooth-talking Imagin that possesses Ryotaro knowing very well that he is a Singularity Point, which allows him to have more freedom than granting the wish of anyone else. He tends to flirt with women more than fight, as well as lie to further his goal.
- Kintaros : Is the physically strongest of the Imagin that are linked to Ryotaro and speaks Kansai-ben. He originally possessed a man named Masaru Honjō, but joins Ryotaro when Den-O is unable to defeat the Rhino Imagin. He is mostly found sleeping on the DenLiner
- Ryutaros : Had lain dormant in Ryotaro until being awakened by Issē Miura's super counseling. He possesses Ryotaro so that he could be the conductor of the DenLiner, seeking to destroy Ryotaro to achieve his goal as part of his deal with Kai.
- Sieg : Is a swan-based Imagin that first opens a contract with a newborn human infant. He is brought onto the DenLiner by Ryutaros because of his love for animals. He soon possesses Ryotaro and tries to return the infant he had possessed while the baby is still in his pregnant mother.
ZeroLiner
ZeroLiner is a steam locomotive that is the home and base of operations for Kamen Rider Zeronos. It was supposedly destroyed with a previous timeline as was its previous owner. According to Yuto, he has been lent the ZeroLiner from its former owner and was given the Zeronos powers as a result.
ZeroLiner Crew:
- Yuto Sakurai : Is a man that revealed himself to Ryotaro and Hana following the defeat of the Wolf Imagin. He is the past version of Airi's fiancé, but acts nothing like him. Revealing himself as a Kamen Rider, Yuto advises Ryotaro not to go looking for his future self as it would tamper with time, believing that protecting the flow of time is not the same as saving lives, and thus believes Ryotaro is unfit to be one
- The Past Man : Is a mysterious figure that appears in times in the past where Imagin appear after fulfilling their contracts, usually to go after him. He has a Seiko pocket watch that has the phrase "The past should give us hope" on the back etched on it. He wears a trenchcoat and many caps.
- Deneb : Is the only Imagin contracted to Kamen Rider Zeronos. He acts as a butler to Yuto Sakurai while on the ZeroLiner and is constantly the subject of his master's abuse. He is named after the star Deneb in the constellation Cygnus the Swan. He is able to transform Kamen Rider Zeronos into Vega Form as well as assume the form of the Denebick Buster for Zeronos Zero Form.
The New DenLiner appears in Saraba Kamen Rider Den-O: Final Countdown and is the base of operations for Kamen Rider New Den-O.

- Kotaro Nogami : Is the grandson of Ryotaro from the future who has the ability to transform into Kamen Rider New Den-O. In Final Countdown, he helps the DenLiner gang out when Ryotaro is captured by Shiro.

Cho Kamen Rider Den-O & Decade Neo Generations The Movie : The Onigashima Warship
When the recently de-aged Ryotaro leaves to investigate the Oni disturbance in the past, Momotaros loses his physical form and memory as he possesses Yusuke Onodera, allowing him the ability to transform into Den-O Sword Form. However, Momotaros finds himself being attacked by Daiki Kaito who wants Den-O's powers. But when he teamed up with Tsukasa Kadoya, Momotaros regains his memories and physical form while Kamen Rider Decade acquires the Den-O Kamen Ride, Final Form Ride and Final Attack Ride Cards.
Cho Kamen Rider Decade
Though Decade thought he solved the issues in the main rider continuity (Den-O's world), time was still awry as Momotaros gets sent to the past in the Oni War, which the Den-O team and Decade fight in to ensure that the Oni from years past are exterminated, as history says. Sometime later, the Den-Liner gang face Daiki again when he uses them to steal a treasure in the past.
OOO, Den-O, All Riders : Let's Go Kamen Riders
Den-O and the crew of the DenLiner encounter Eiji Hino/Kamen Rider OOO and the Greeed Ankh. Unfortunately, Ankh unintentionally altered the timeline which enabled Shocker to utilize the Core Medal to create the Shocker Greeed which defeated the Double Riders and seemingly erased the legacy of the Kamen Riders from history. In 2011, after Kamen Rider New Den-O's attempt to repair the damage, he along with Kamen Rider OOO and M-Ankh awaited execution. However, it was revealed the Double Riders had their brainwashing removed by a Shocker scientist.
Kamen Rider × Super Sentai : Super Hero Taisen
Den-O discovered Daiki holding up the stolen cup of Den-Liner Purine pudding that he stole from him during their last meeting. The Den-Liner rendezvoused with the Gokai Galleon where Daiki was standing with Hina Izumi and Gokaigers Joe Gibken and Don Dogoier to get back the pudding. Picking up the four passengers, the Den-Liner took them to Winter 1976 to pick up Akarenger. While getting their guests there, debating over whose side they are on, Momotaros said that he was the leader of the "Imagin Sentai" because he was the red. When the Sentai teams and the Kamen Riders battle the Shocker-Zangyack Alliance, Momotaros and the other Taros join the fray in their Den-O forms, fighting alongside the Gekirangers.
Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff : Super Hero Taisen Z
Den-O was part of a force of Rider and Sentai reinforcements led by Kamen Rider 1 and Akarenger that came to assist the Riders and Sentai of recent years who were overwhelmed by the revived monster army of the Space Crime Syndicate Madou. The combined forces of superheroes were able to turn the tide against the Madou army. They lined up and used their various finisher attacks to destroy the revived monsters. After Demon King Psycho was destroyed and the battle was finally over, Den-O appeared standing on a cliff with all the other heroes who appeared to help, to say goodbye to the heroes of recent years before taking their leave.
Kamen Rider Wizard : The Kamen Rider Rings
Den-O appears with all the Heisei Riders from Kuuga to Fourze, led by Decade, in a special two-parter after the finale, The Kamen Rider Rings and Neverending Story.
Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider : Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai
Den-O was seen in the DenLiner battling the Kuliner, however he got himself defeated. Den-O would later return along with the defeated Riders as they battle the Badan Empire. While the ToQgers were having a difficult time of fighting Generalissimo of Badan, Kyoryu Red and Den-O would assist them, forming the mecha into ToQ-Oh Kyoryuzin feat. DenLiner, but he is displeased because Kyoryu Red takes over the upper body, knocking the DenLiner down to being the feet. After battling the Badan Empire, Hongo stated that their battle wasn't over as the Rider War continues. However the Showa Riders admit their defeat after seeing Gaim protecting a flower as they would congratulate the young Riders.
Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider 3
Due to the timeline alteration caused by Shocker, Den-O became one of the brainwashed Riders in that timeline, donning the name of Shocker Rider Den-O. Later on, he aided the other Riders to combat Shocker after he, and the other Riders, were released from being brainwashed by the revived Double Riders.

- Once Ryotaro activates any of the four buttons on the Rider pass, the chosen Imagin then takes control and a transformation follows. It should be noted that these are not Ryotaro's 'true' forms as these are all essentially the Imagin as riders, which they can also activate on their own supposing they have their own physical forms and are not in need of a host body.
